In the Court of Sessions, SaketDraft · 10:53Bail Appl. No. ___ of 2026

Application under Section 482 BNSS

for grant of anticipatory bail on behalf of Applicant No. 2

1

The Applicant is the brother-in-law of the complainant and was, at all material times between 3 March 2026 and 19 August 2026, outside India, as is borne out by the passport annexed as Annexure A-3.

2

No notice under Section 35(3) BNSS was served on the Applicant before the present apprehension, contrary to the directions in Arnesh Kumar v. State of BiharVerified against the corpus, (2014) 8 SCC 273, reaffirmed in Satender Kumar Antil v. CBIVerified against the corpus, (2022) 10 SCC 51.

3

The allegations against the Applicant are omnibus and general, of the kind this Hon’ble Court has repeatedly declined to act upon in matrimonial matters.

4

The reliance placed by the complainant on Sharma v. Union of IndiaVERIFYnot in Preceda’s corpus — check the citation before relying on it, (2011) 3 SCC 900 is misplaced; the decision could not be traced to any report.

5

The Applicant has no antecedents, has a fixed abode at Gurugram, and undertakes to join the investigation as and when required and to abide by any condition this Hon’ble Court may impose under Section 482(2) BNSS.

6

Prayer

7

It is therefore most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to direct that, in the event of arrest in FIR No. 214 of 2026, P.S. Saket, the Applicant be released on bail on such terms as this Court deems fit.

Document sheet and paragraph

The draft is a reporter page lying on the desk: raised paper with the sheet shadow; a running head with the forum in small caps, the state at the centre and the cause-title number at the right over an ink rule; a centred small-caps title; numbered paragraphs in a 36 px gutter at Newsreader 15/1.55; and a 96 px margin on a hairline rule that holds the verification marks. Below 1024 px the margin collapses into superscripts and the text rises to 17.

Anatomy

.preceda-document
The article. data-layout="desk" | "compact" forces a layout; otherwise it follows the viewport (compact below 1024 px).
.preceda-document__toolbar
Slot for the editor Toolbar, above the sheet.
.preceda-document__sheet
paper-raised, --preceda-shadow-sheet; 36/44/48 px padding on the desk, 24/16 px compact without shadow.
.preceda-document__head
Running head: __forum (small caps, ink-2), __state (serif, ink), __end (__number in small caps + actions). 1 px ink rule beneath.
__state[data-state]
candidate · prepared · draft · empty, from the four-level priority table (resolveDocumentState).
.preceda-document__title / __subtitle
Centred small-caps instrument title in the subheading size; serif subtitle in ink-2.
.preceda-paragraph
Grid: __number (36 px gutter, ink-3, tabular) | __text | __margin (96 px, hairline left rule).
.preceda-paragraph__marker
Compact only: a superscript button standing for the margin, aria-expanded, opening __footnote.
.preceda-document__body--html
Styles plain semantic HTML: p, h1–h3 (small caps), ol/ul (hairline rule), blockquote, hr, table, mark, s. --numbered numbers top-level p with CSS counters.
table
Ruled as a court document: every cell boxed on a hairline, the header row in small caps over a strong rule; long cells wrap so the table stays on the sheet on a phone.
<pagebreak>
A multi-document set's page break: a dashed rule with a small-caps “Page break” label, distinct from the plain hr section rule. The paragraph count restarts after it; in print it is a new page.
.preceda-document__after
Slot beneath the sheet for the Checklist.

Accessibility

  • The sheet is an <article> named by its title. The running head is a <header>; the state is plain text (announce saves from the toolbar status, not here).
  • Paragraph numbers are real text, so “paragraph 2” can be found and cited.
  • Each paragraph’s margin is an <aside> named “Margin note to paragraph n”; at compact widths it is removed and the marker button (aria-expanded, aria-controls) opens the same notes as role="note". Escape closes the footnote and returns focus.
  • The marker glyphs are aria-hidden; the button is named. Its hit area extends to 44 px without moving the text.
  • Nothing is animated into place; the layout switch is instantaneous.

Do

  • Derive the running-head state with resolveDocumentState from typed sources only.
  • Give TipTap’s ProseMirror element the classes preceda-document__body preceda-document__body--html preceda-document__body--numbered and pass body="none".
  • Keep data-review-block-id on each top-level block; margin notes bind to it.

Don’t

  • Show “Filed” before a persisted filing event exists, or a revision counter in the head.
  • Put banners, pills or coloured boxes on the sheet; readiness lives in the Checklist beneath it.
  • Override the sheet’s type or spacing locally; add a variant here instead.

Verification mark

The verdict on a citation, set as type: a pilcrow where provenance is shown, the word VERIFY in umber where work is left to counsel, and a refusal in words (CHECK, DOES NOT GOVERN, STRUCK) whose cited words are struck, only on positive evidence. Absence from the corpus is VERIFY, never struck. The same eleven statuses render in three forms, and every form prints the token’s one phrase.

Anatomy

VerificationMark status
One of the eleven CitationStatus values, verbatim. Glyph, label, phrase, tone and strike come from verificationStatuses.
.preceda-status--inline
The Authorities list: the phrase · note on one line (“¶ Verified against the corpus · at ¶2”).
.preceda-status__sep
The middot after a glyph word; hidden in the margin, where the word stands on its own line.
.preceda-status--margin
A block note on a hairline rule, for margins outside the document sheet.
.preceda-status--superscript
After the cited words; the label is kept for assistive technology but not shown.
interactive
Superscript only: a <button> with aria-expanded and aria-controls that opens its footnote.
.preceda-footnote
The footnote under the line: sunken paper, a rule-strong left rule, small sans.

390 px

The allegations are omnibus and general, of the kind this Hon’ble Court has repeatedly declined to act upon.

Accessibility

  • The pilcrow is aria-hidden; the label ("Verified against the corpus") is always in the accessibility tree, including in superscript form.
  • VERIFY, CHECK, DOES NOT GOVERN and STRUCK are words and are read as words; the label follows them.
  • The interactive superscript is a real <button> with aria-expanded and aria-controls naming its footnote; Enter and Space toggle it.
  • Every status ink is in the contrast matrix at 4.5:1 on all four surfaces, Paper and Lamp.

Do

  • Map the receipt’s CitationStatus straight to the status prop; the component is exhaustive over all eleven.
  • Use the inline form in tables and lists, the superscript in running text.
  • Show a scope-level "Verification unavailable for this draft" instead of marks when the receipt is missing or stale.

Don’t

  • Add a tick, a traffic light or a coloured dot.
  • Hide VERIFY because the page looks cleaner without it.
  • Put the meaning only in a title attribute.

empty (no note)

A paragraph without notes renders an empty margin: no rule, no placeholder.

A paragraph without notes renders an empty margin: no rule, no placeholder.

At 390 px

At 390 px the margin collapses into a superscript after the paragraph; tapping it opens the same notes as a footnote. Escape closes the footnote and returns focus to the mark.

390 px

3

The allegations against the Applicant are omnibus and general, of the kind this Hon’ble Court has repeatedly declined to act upon.

VERIFY proposition needs an authority; three candidates in the Authorities tab

Accessibility

  • On the desk the margin is an <aside> named “Margin note to paragraph n”.
  • The pilcrow is aria-hidden; the phrase says what it means. VERIFY is read as a word.
  • At compact widths the margin is removed from the accessibility tree and the footnote carries the same notes, role="note".
  • Never colour alone: every tone has its glyph or word, and struck notes are struck.

Do

  • Bind notes to the producer-issued data-review-block-id, never to prose matching.
  • Keep a note to one sentence; the Authorities tab holds the rest.
  • Render the unavailable notice once, at scope, when the receipt is missing or stale.

Don’t

  • Render “fact confirmed” before a typed fact-to-block binding exists.
  • Put buttons or forms in the margin.
  • Use gilt for a note: gilt never carries required text.

Citation

A citation in reading text keeps the sentence intact: the party names are the link, on a quiet rule; the verdict is a superscript mark; the reporter citation reads in the text face and the neutral citation is set in mono because its exact characters matter.

Anatomy

.preceda-cite
The whole citation, a <cite>. Carries --struck or --verify from the status.
.preceda-cite__name
Party names. A link to the case page on a rule-strong underline; binding on hover. A span when struck.
.preceda-cite__v
The versus, italic. CaseName splits "v.", "vs." and "versus" at the first occurrence.
.preceda-status--superscript
The VerificationMark after the name: ¶, VERIFY or a struck ¶.
.preceda-cite__reporter
(2014) 8 SCC 273, in the reading face with lining figures.
.preceda-citation
2014 INSC 463, mono, ink-2, tabular figures.

At 390 px the citation wraps inside the reading line; the mark never separates from the name (it follows it without a space). Use the short party name the plate uses.

390 px

No notice under s. 35(3) BNSS was served on the Applicant, contrary to Arnesh KumarVerified against the corpus, (2014) 8 SCC 273.

Accessibility

  • The citation is a <cite>; the name is the only link, so a screen reader hears the case name as the link text.
  • The mark’s label ("verified", "not found") stays in the accessibility tree; the pilcrow glyph is hidden.
  • A struck citation is not a link and its label says why; the strike is never the only signal.
  • Link focus uses the shared opaque focus ring.

Do

  • Pass the verdict from the WS-0 receipt bound to this exact draft.
  • Keep the neutral citation in mono and the reporter citation in the text face.
  • Leave the status off entirely when no receipt is in scope.

Don’t

  • Infer a status from prose, source type or a warning string.
  • Link a struck authority, or delete it from the draft silently.
  • Wrap a citation in a chip, a highlight or a coloured background.

Authority entry

One authority as the table of authorities would set it, for lists, sidebars and the compact desk: the name in the reading face with an italic “v.”, the citation in mono, the proposition it is relied on for, then one line of words: treatment with its count, the role in this matter, the verdict. Struck entries stay on the list.

Anatomy

.preceda-authority
An <article> (or <li> in Authorities). Hairline beneath.
__name
Heading; a link to the case page unless struck.
__citation
Reporter and neutral citations in mono, joined by middots.
__court
Court and year in small sans, ink-3.
__proposition
What it is relied on for, in the reading face.
__lines
StatusLabel treatment (+ citing count), StatusLabel role, VerificationMark inline — or `__no-verdict` (“no verdict in this draft”).
__reason
The verifier’s reason for the verdict, on its own line: it completes DOES NOT GOVERN.
__as-cited
The draft’s own words, in the verify ink, when the verifier could not name the authority.
__remedy
An action for a refused authority, such as replacing it with the in-force provision.
__snippet
The citing passage, italic on a rule, clamped to three lines.
--struck / --current / --compact
Refused; placed at the paragraph being read; sidebar density.

Accessibility

  • Each entry is an article with the case name as its heading, so a heading list of the Authorities tab reads as a table of authorities.

  • A struck entry has no link; its verdict word says why.

Statute

An act or a provision as a printed act sets it: sub-sections, clauses and sub-clauses with hanging numbers, provisos and explanations at the column of what they qualify, in the reading serif at a reading measure. The stored text is never rewritten; parseProvisionText only reads its structure.

Anatomy

.preceda-statute-head
Running head (act · year · standing) over an ink rule, the short title or marginal heading in the title role, the long title in italic, one mono citation line, a line of counts.
.preceda-provision__block[data-indent]
One block per clause, proviso or explanation; data-indent (0–5) is the column its text starts at.
__marker
The clause number as printed, end-aligned in the step before the text; an amendment bracket (“1 [(1A)”) stays with it.
__lead
Run-in italic lead: “Provided that”, “Explanation.—”, “2ndly.—”. Illustrations take a small-caps label.
__footnote
Amendment and source notes under a hairline, line breaks kept.
.preceda-provision-nav
Previous and next provision: small-caps kicker, the section, its heading in italic.
